Joy Northrup is a nineteen-year-old art student who creates with many different mediums and often combines various mediums in his pieces. His favorite mediums to work in currently are textiles and printmaking, though he is also interested in working more with metal. He is in the process of creating a collaborative show centered around ocean conservation. His art has been featured in “Tiny Art Show” at Emerge Gallery, “Dinosaurs of ECU”, “ECU Textiles Showcase”, and "2025 Juried Undergraduate Exhibition". Joy received the Taeylor Art Supply Award Scholarship and first and third place awards in the ECU Garrett Hall Exhibition. He is currently living in Greenville, NC, while attending East Carolina University. He is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with an intended dual emphasis in Metal Design and Textile Design.
